ABOUT ME
Before training as a celebrant, I have worked with the health care setting for over 20 years.
Despite enjoying health and social care as a career, I have always felt a calling to support others during their time of need. This has led me to work within the funeral sector, not only as a funeral celebrant but as funeral support staff in various capacities. This ‘behind the scenes’ work humbles me, as I come into contact with grieving families on a daily basis.
Having lost many of my own family members, I know how important the funeral service is to those left behind. After speaking at my own Mum and Dads funeral, I found solace in finding the right words to convey my feelings of loss and unconditional love. This quickly led me to research the role of the celebrant and then to embark on to my own training with the renowned Green Fuse, gaining my OCN Level 3 Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy.
Every funeral should be as unique as the person it honours.
Every funeral is an opportunity to create a funeral service as unique as the individual that it honours. It is my job to ensure that I tell your loved one’s story of the life they lived and the legacy that they leave behind. A funeral will not only allow you to say goodbye to your loved one in a meaningful and unique way, but it should also allow you to remember and celebrate the person that they was.
I will work with you to produce a unique funeral service by listening to your stories and memories. I can help you to choose appropriate music and poems if needed, and even support you to speak at the service should you wish to. Every aspect of the service that I produce for your loved one will be discussed with you throughout.
